12 Days from Tangier to Casablanca via Desert

Day 1: Meet You In Tangier Port And Drive To Chechaouen

Chefchouan (where you will spend the night at a hotel). which is called the blue city, will be our direction after meeting you at the port in Tangier.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Chechaouen

In Chefcouan, you will experience the blue city after checking in the hotel. You will be able to enjoy the Rif Mountains range and the small Moroccan villages scattered in the mountains.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis Ruins – Meknes – Fes

Your destination will be Fez traveling through :

⦁    Meknes where you will visit the iconic Bab Mansour which was built in 1732. It is known for its marble columns and geometric ornamentation. After that, you will visit Sahrige Swani. Sultan Moulay Ismail built it to supply the army, homes, mosques of the town with water. Still, in Meknes, you will be able to visit Mulay Ismail Mausoleum.

⦁    Volubilis: an interesting and ancient site that had been once the capital of the kingdom of Mauretania before it became the southernmost cities of the Roman Empire. Volubilis is the prominent ruins of the Roman in  Morocco. The fasciating mosaics give a unique decoration to the city. Visiting Volubilis makes you go back centuries.

After reaching Fez city, you will check in a Riad/hotel.

Day 4: Fes – Fes

In Fez, you will explore the city guided by a local guide. There are many interesting monuments to visit like Mosque Al Karaouine, which was the first established university in the world, and the Royal Palace ( It is considered a fascinating model of modern restoration).

Day 5: Fes – Midelt

At the Riad, you will have your breakfast.

Leaving Fez and heading to Midelt, we will discover some interesting places in our journey:

⦁    Ifrane is known for its special clean and green environment ( some call this city Switzerland of Morocco). In winter, it is the direction of many Moroccan people to enjoy the snow.

⦁    The Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains.

⦁    Cedar Forest is located between Azrou and Ifrane. In this place, you will have enough time to enjoy trees climbed by the Berber apes. one in Morocco. Cedre forest is the largest one in Morocco.

We will finally arrive at Midelt city ( where you will check in a hotel).

Day 6: Midelt – Merzouga ( Erg Chebbi Dunes )

The next places we will travel through to reach Merzouga, after having breakfast at the hotel in Midelt, are:

⦁    Errachidia ( a region in the Errachidia Province) and Erfoud ( a beautiful town oasis located in the Sahara desert).

⦁    Ziz valley, you can enjoy the wonderful gorges. You may love to take some photos of this valley. It is known of the palm groves and the variety of crops. It is considered an Alouite dynasty which still rules Morocco.

In Merzouga (In the afternoon), you will ride camels accompanied by a specialized man towards the golden sand sea of Sahara. A tent is where you will have dinner and spend the night in the Shara desert.

Day 7: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

In the morning, you will wake up to enjoy the amazing sunrise in the Shara desert over the dunes.

To Merzouga, you will ride camels enjoying the beauty of the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi.

When you are back at the hotel, you will have breakfast. After a short break, you will visit:

⦁    Rissani: one of The Alouite dynasty which still governs Morocco. The Souks Traditional markets) might be an interesting place for you to visit. While you are there, you will notice that most people still wear an interesting traditional Saharan dress.

⦁    Todgha Gorges and Tinghir which is Located in the south of the Atlas and the north of the little Atlas. Todgha Gorges are a series of limestone river canyons. Most visitors enjoy hiking and passing by the nomad who comes down to the gorge to get water. Todgha Gorges are considered the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. Todgha Valley is where we will have lunch.

⦁    Dades Gorges: series of rugged wadi gorges carved out by the Dades River in Morocco. The river originates in the High Atlas range of the Atlas mountains. The majestic sand castles and monkey toes (a fascinating rock formation) in Ddaes valley are a point of attraction for tourists. In Dades Gorges, we will spend the night at the hotel.

Day 8: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

The destination will be Ouarzazate. In our journey, we will travel through many Kasbahs. Kalaat M’gouna is one of the amazing places that we will visit.  Kalaat M’gouna, which is called also “the Valley of Roses is known by the beauty of its roses for there is a factory specialized in producing rosewater (you may want to buy some which last over you for days after the trip). The city is also famous for the special dance “Ahidous”. We will also have the chance to visit one of the nomad families who live in the caves. We will also stop at Skoura( the valley of birds) before we check in a hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech

When you finish breakfast at the hotel, you will leave to visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.

Many films were shot in this Kasbah such as Babel, Gladiator, and Lawrence of Arabia.

Marrakech is where our ninth day from the tour will end ( At a Riad/hotel, your accommodation will be).

Day 10: Marrakech – Marrakech

A local guide will be your company in your day number 10. Making you able to see the beauty of Marrakech and have an idea about the interesting monuments such as:

⦁    The Saadian tombs which return to the 17th century.

⦁    School Ben Youssef, which remained for four centuries as a home for students who had the will to learn different sciences such as theology. This school consisted of 132 rooms for non-Marrakesh students and could accommodate up to 900 students.

⦁    The Koutoubia mosque ( One of the largest mosques in Morocco).

Day 11: Marrakech – Casablanca

After having breakfast at your accommodation, you will travel to Casablanca.

In Casablanca city, you will visit Hassan ll. This mosque, which took 6 years to be built ( 1987_1993) is considered the largest mosque in Africa and the third in the world. It has the capacity to contain  25.000 worshippers covering 24,000 square. Besides being a place of praying, a culture center with a library, museum and a Koranic school are parts of the giant building,

Your accommodation will be guaranteed at a hotel.

Day 12: Transfer The Airport And The End Of The Adventure

On this day, your tour comes to an end. We will take care of driving you to the airport.
